Hp-15BG003AU Review

It was 26th August 2017 when my laptop ( hp pavilion g6) died. It had served me 5 years, after which its ram and voltage ic died. I decided not to get it repaired and buy a new one. So i ordered  HP-15BG003AU (costed me 21k)on 27th August around 3pm. The delivery was awesome, i got it delivered on 28th August. Although this same laptop was available on flipkart at rs1000 cheaper, yet i choosed amazon because of their awesome service.
Now lets talk about laptop-
It is a very good laptop at a very cheap rate. It has got E2-7110 which is a quad core processor clocked at 1.8 ghz, 4 gb ram out of which 3.3gb is available (rest is reserved for gpu), dvd drive, wifi, bluetooth,  screen of 15.6" size and has a very good quality. I choosed this laptop because it had got a powerful processor and was available at very cheap rate. Having an i3/i5/i7 doesn't mean that it will be faster. Most of the u series processor used in laptops are dual core, hence provide weaker performance (eg 7200u). Here u stands for ultra low power and hence low performance too. Earlier i was using an i5, which was performing weaker than my pentium dual core @3ghz. On the other hand, this laptop, despite being cheaper, performs better than my other two machines (i5 with 6gb, pdc 3ghz with 4gb). Here are some faq answers-

1.Can we play games?
Ans. Well technically no, since this laptop doesn't has dedicated gpu (has got integrated gpu), it wont perfom that well, but for sure you can do light gaming on it. I am a devloper/programmer, never found it weak. Best suited for programming, office, home etc (anything apart from gaming).

2. Does it have dvd drive?
Ans. Yes it has, although it is not mentioned but it has a dvd drive.

3.Battery backup?
Ans. It easily gives 4 hours+ of battery backup (had got 4 cell battery).

4. Does it heats up as it had got amd cpu??
Ans. I was also amazed to know that it runs far cooler than my i5, no heating issues till now. Remans absolutely cool!

5.Does keyboard has backlight?
Ans. No

6. Is it better than intel?
Ans. A big yes, it boots faster, runs smoother, better at multi-tasking (as it has got 4 cores, whereas most of the i3/i5/i7 have only two cores).

Now lets talk the things which i didn't like-
1. Touchpad- It had got smooth surface touchpad, which makes it difficult to use. Generally the touchpads with rough sureface (or ridges) are better as your fingers could slide more easily over them. Moreover, after constant use, the paint over the touchpad starts coming off and leaves a large black spot (after ~3 years of use).
Fix- I placed a mobile phone screen guard no touchpad which solved all the problems.

2. The top pannel (behind the screen)- I dont like its look, looks are subjective so it depends upon the user.
Fix: use a laptop skin for 200 bucks.

Other than these two points, i like everything about this laptop. I would highly recommend it to everyone who has a budget of 40k. I dont think that there is any better laptop than this under ~45k (although this cost just 21k).

Note: If you are still planning to go for an intel powered laptop, make sure you do not buy laptop with u series processor. Check its spec on cpuboss /cpuworld before buying.
